Why does my parent track me?
A short, honest read for kids about what the app does and what it doesn't.
If your parent asked you to install HaevenX and you're not sure how to feel about it, here's what's actually happening.
What HaevenX does
- It shows your parent your current location (only your parent, not the public).
- It records a breadcrumb trail of where you went, kept for 90 days then automatically deleted.
- It records your driving when you go above 15 km/h for more than 90 seconds: distance, max speed, harsh braking. Your parent sees the summary.
- It uses your phone's accelerometer to detect crashes and dispatch help.
- It can show your parent a yes/no check-in response when they ask "are you OK?".
What HaevenX does NOT do
- It does not record audio or video.
- It does not read your texts, your social media, your photos, or your camera.
- It does not share where you are with anyone outside your family.
- It does not stop you from doing what you want; it just creates a trail.
What you can do
You can see exactly what your parent sees. Open HaevenX, go to Family, tap your own name. The view you see is identical to the view your parent has of you. No hidden settings.
If you want to talk to your parent about it
The point of HaevenX is not to spy. It's to know fast that you're safe. If a question like "where is my kid right now" can be answered in three seconds without calling, your parent doesn't need to call. That's usually less stressful for everyone.
If something feels off, talk to your parent. Most of the controls (whose location is visible, when notifications fire, whether crash detection is on) can be discussed and adjusted.
